The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has started the KVS admissions 2026-27 for Balvatika and Class 1 on March 20, 2026, at 10 am. The last date to apply for the Kendriya Vidyalaya admission is April 2, 2026. Eligibility Criteria for KVS Admission 2026-27 Class 1
Indian nationals and children of Foreign Nationals residing in India are eligible.
As per the rule of NEP 2020, the child should be between 6 years and 8 years old as of March 31, 2026. Relaxation in the maximum age limit is applicable for differently-abled children as per KVS norms.
A child born on 1st April should also be considered.

Once the KVS registration process is completed, parents must follow the steps below to fill out and submit the KVS online admission 2026-27 Class 1 form.
Step 1: Visit the official website of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan at admission.kvs.gov.in.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Login’ tab on the homepage.
Step 3: Use the login credentials generated during the registration process. Enter the username and password, then click on the ‘Login’ button.
Step 4: The KVS Class 1 application form 2026 will appear on the screen. Fill in all the required details carefully without any errors.
Step 5: Click on the ‘Next’ button after filling out the form. Can choose up to 3 schools of preference from the list provided.
Step 6: Upload scanned copies of a colored photograph of the child and the proof of Date of Birth (DOB) certificate, adhering to the specified size and dimensions guidelines.
Step 7: Review all the details entered in the form carefully by clicking on the ‘Preview’ button. Edit the form in case of any mistakes.
Step 8: Click on the ‘Submit’ button to finalise the application after verifying all details.
Step 9: Enter the OTP received on the registered mobile number to authenticate the application submission.

The results for the Kendriya Vidyalaya admission for Balvatika and the 1st Class will be held through the online lottery system. The KVS Sangathan will declare the KVS lottery result for Class 1 and Balvatika on the official website. The admission list will be published in three slots starting from April 9, 2026, at the school level, based on the seat availability.
